Daisy Doodles Grooming – Terms & Conditions

 

Thank you for considering and choosing Daisy Doodles Grooming. Please take a moment to read through our terms and conditions below, these are to ensure a safe, satisfying and enjoyable experience for you and your pet.

 

1. Appointments & Cancellations

  • Appointments must be booked in advance. Walk-ins are not accepted.
  • Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Late arrivals (over 20 minutes) may result in rescheduling and a missed appointment.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the grooming service cost or a new deposit required for rebooking.
  • Upon making an appointment with Daisy Doodles Grooming, I will kindly ask for 50% of the appointment amount as a non-refundable booking fee. This is to secure your appointment time and to reduce the numbers of no-shows and last-minute cancellations. These have a significant impact on my business financially.

    The deposit can be made in person via cash or by bank transfer (the remaining balance can also be paid via these methods)

    Unfortunately, deposits are non-refundable, however if you need to change or reschedule your appointment I will transfer the deposit to your new agreed appointment, providing 48 hours notice has been given. If 48 hours notice hasn’t been given, you will need to pay a new deposit to secure your next appointment.

2. Pet Health & Behaviour 

  • All pets must be up to date on vaccinations, including rabies and distemper.
  • Please inform me of any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioural issues prior to your pet’s appointment.
  • Aggressive or severely anxious dogs may be refused service. If extra time or care is needed this may result in additional cost.
  • If your dog shows signs of aggression during grooming, a muzzle may be used for the safety of your groomer. If you don't want a muzzle to be used - the groom may be terminated for the safety of the groomer. 

 

3. Fleas & Ticks

  • If your pet is found to have fleas you must collect and treat them as soon as possible. Please do not bring your dog to Daisy Doodles if you are aware of a flea infestation. Ticks can be removed safely by the groomer.
  • Please treat your pet regularly to prevent infestations. If fleas are found during grooming - the groom may be terminated early and a fee applied for flea treatment of the salon. 

 

4. Matted Coats

  • Severe matting will be shaved down for the comfort and safety of your dog. I do not de-mat by brushing/combing when it causes pain or stress. This is in line with the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
  • Daisy Doodles Grooming is not liable for any pre-existing skin conditions or injuries that may be uncovered or caused by removing matting. Shaving a matted coat comes with its risks and can be stressful for your dog. 
  • Combing out lighter matting and tangles can take time, so an additional fee may be added for de-matting where necessary. Removing knots from the coat is included in the price of the groom where possible and timely. 
  • Please brush your dog between grooming sessions to avoid matting & shaved coats. 

 

5. Senior Dogs & Medical Conditions

  • Older dogs or those with health conditions are groomed at the owner’s risk.
  • Adaptations might be made to the grooming process to aid elderly dogs, this could impact the outcome of the grooming finish. 
  • Every effort is made to handle pets gently and with care, but the safety of your dog is my priority. If your dog is unwell or has a pre-existing condition, please notify the groomer at the time of booking.
  • Please do not bring your female dog to a grooming session if they are in season or pregnant.
  • Please let me know if your dog finds any of the grooming procedures stressful - to ensure adaptations can be made appropriately.

 

6. Accidents & Injuries

  • Although rare, minor accidents (nicks, scratches, etc.) can occur. We will inform you immediately of any incident.
  • Daisy Doodles Grooming will not be held liable for injuries uncovered during grooming - especially those with matted coats.
  • In the unlikely event of a serious injury, i will seek veterinary care and contact you immediately. Please ensure the groomer knows your dog’s veterinary practice contact details, in case of emergency.

 

7. Photography & Social Media

  • I will take photos of your dog before, during and after grooming to use on our website and social media. These are also used for quality purposes - including photos of any concerns/injuries. I also like to take these to share with you!
  • Please inform us if you do not wish for your pet to be photographed.

 

8. Payment

  • Full payment is due at the time of pick-up.
  • I accept cash or bank transfer. I do not currently take card payment.

 

9. No-Shows

  • Clients who fail to attend their scheduled appointment without notice may be charged the full grooming fee and may be refused future bookings.
  • If you do not attend a scheduled appointment and wish to re-book, a deposit will be required to secure your next appointment.
  • Not attending your appointment causes an interruption and disappointment to other clients, please try not to miss your appointment if possible. I do have people awaiting a cancellation place.

 

10. Satisfaction Guarantee

  • If you're unhappy with any aspect of the grooming service, please let me know within 24 hours so we can address the issue.
  • If you've received a 5 star service - please leave me a review!
